DumplingIsNice's Guide to Creating ppts
- You will have two documents, the script and the ppt.
- Do not underestimate the script, while you may not follow the script, an understanding of the entire presentation forms a stage in your mind.
- Conditions to know the entire presentation from start to finish.
- Even if you forgot or don’t follow the script, you will subconsciously revolve around the script’s contents (if you practiced) during the presentation.
- Lay out the main points.
- Partition your discussion down to significant sections (header 1)
- These will be your main-point slides
- It is generally better to divide content out onto many slides with big fonts than to contain large amount of content in one slide
- Unless you are making a comparison, contrast or it is necessary to view both contents at the same time.
- Punch out your content
- In script first, and then reduce and eliminate details. The reduced version is placed onto the ppt.
- Reading from the slides is not disgraceful, in fact if the presentation is meant for teaching, the students will thank you.
- Images are your best friend
- Take up lots of space
- You can bullshit how you want
- Practice.
- Objective is to familiarise with the content, not to memorise the content.
- Thus, to be adaptive due to presentation.
- When presenting:
- Make Q cards, but don’t use them.
- Makes you feel prepared
